University of Pittsburgh Researchers Develop First THC Breathalyzer – How and When Will We See Them Used?

[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh have developed the first of its kind THC (The active ingredient in marijuana) breathalyzer. It is still in the early phase of implementation, mostly due to the legality surrounding the use of such a device. It hasn’t yet been addressed what is the “legal limit” for someone to be safely operating a vehicle with THC in their system. At the moment, for DUI’s law enforcement officers rely on field tests and drug tests later taken at the station. At some point in the near future we could see these being used everywhere. If you or a loved one gets charged with a DUI, please visit one of our Rideout Law Group locations in Las Vegas, Nevada, Bullhead City, Tempe, and Lake Havasu City, AZ.
