ACLU Suing Maricopa County Sheriff Over Coronavirus in Jails

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The ACLU is suing the Maricopa County Sheriff over the lack of safety precautions in jails against SARS-CoV-2.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]Since May 29th, confirmed cases of COVID have increased 5,000% in Maricopa County jails. This is clearly due to the lack of safety precautions being taken by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department. The ACLU is suing the county to release high risk individuals from jail and to increase the safety precautions and guidelines to prevent further spread of the disease.
