Could Recreational Marijuana Revenue Help Arizona’s Pandemic Recovery?

Recreational marijuana tax revenue has proven to be «pandemic proof» in other states, is it time for Arizona to legalize it to spur economic recovery? With the COVID pandemic still in full swing across the country, tax revenue streams are dwindling in the state of Arizona. In order to fund the necessary programs to help those affected and get the economy back, the state has to get more creative in developing ways to bring in more income. As it can be seen in other states, such as Illinois and Colorado, tax revenue from recreational marijuana is actually at an all-time high right now. The Joint Legislative Budget Committee believes that legalizing recreational marijuana in Arizona would bring in $250 million annually! This decision will depend solely on the voters this upcoming election cycle with Prop 207 on the ballot. Make sure you are completely educated on any legislation before voting, it impact your community dramatically.  If you or a loved one has been charged with a marijuana-related crime, call us toll-free at 833-854-8181, or visit one of our offices out of Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, or Tempe, AZ.
