San Francisco Getting Rid of Cash Bail?

San Francisco’s District Attorney made a hallmark decision to end the cash bail system for the entire city. In an effort to increase public safety, save taxpayers’ money, and demonstrate social justice, the San Francisco Attorney General Chesa Boudin ordered the city prosecutors to end requests for cash bail. California had already signed a bill into law in 2018 that ended cash bail, but due to an upcoming November 2020 referendum, the law was suspended. The law has potential to save taxpayers millions from not having to hold many non-violent defendants awaiting trial. Hopefully, this trend continues throughout the rest of the United States. If you or a loved one gets arrested and is awaiting trial, go to any of our locations in Lake Havasu City, Tempe, Bullhead City, AZ, or Las Vegas, NV.
