It’s Spring Training in Arizona! Can I Drink Outside the Baseball Stadiums in Scottsdale?

Each year, the sunny weather in Arizona brings in several Major League Baseball teams for spring training, where the teams can try out new players and new tactics with their teams during the MLB pre-season in smaller stadiums.

Scottsdale, Arizona boasts the Scottsdale Stadium in Old Town Scottsdale as well as Salt River Fields in North Scottsdale, where baseball fans can catch the Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, and San Francisco Giants playing against other MLB teams.

While spring training games are typically more relaxed than regular season games played in MLB stadiums, the stadiums in Scottsdale still maintain strict rules regarding alcoholic beverages, and fans should be sure to remain within the law when it comes to drinking.

Salt River Fields – Alcohol Policies

Salt River Fields prohibits alcohol consumption in its parking lots. Tailgating in the parking lot is expressly prohibited. No alcoholic beverages may be brought into, or out of, the stadium.

Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase inside the stadium, but guests may not possess more than two alcoholic beverages, or more than 40 ounces total, at a single time. Alcohol sales end no later than the 7th inning.

Scottsdale Stadium – Alcohol Policies

Scottsdale Stadium only allows alcohol consumption inside the stadium. No alcoholic beverages are allowed into, or out of, the stadium.

Alcohol sales are discontinued during the 6th or 7th inning depending on game length.
